Report from the Children's Discovery Museum

We wanted to let you know how much fun we had today : )
We were the 12-2 shift at the Discovery Museum, and it felt so good to reach out to so many families and actually show them what Project Linus is all about!
With the help of many (kids & adults), we finished four of the fleece blankets! We also cut and prepared three more for the next shift.
The highlight of our day was when a man approached the table and told us that his son was a recipient of a Linus blanket four years ago! His son was born prematurely and weighed only 4 lbs . . . he wanted us to know how very much it meant to him and his wife to have received such a touching gift at a very emotional and difficult time in their lives.
I am happy to report that I met the little guy, who is now a healthy and happy 4 year old, and he told me that it is still his favorite blanket and that he sleeps with it every night : )
We felt honored to represent Project Linus today, and look forward to being a part of this organization for years to come.
