Latest news

I guess that the requests for blankets for hurricane relief have come to an end. Thanks to all of you who contributed.

Please remember that if you hear of a child that needs one of our blankets to please let me know. We always have one that is ready to go out to a hurting child. We received over 500 blankets this month and they have gone out already. Unfortunately, there always seems to be a need.

i just hit the mother lode last time i went to Savers Milpitas; somebody cleaned out their project room and i got all their yarn (including 8 skeins of same color mix bright pastels yarns)

also gave my mother a Linus flyer and i'm sure she and her Soroptimists' chapter up in Sonora will be tracking down the closest chapter. Lots of quilters up there!

i am still interested in any leads anyone might have on blankets for vets -- discovered an amazing thing @ Walmart. Red Heart CAMOU pattern yarn. Couldn't resist buying them out of it!

I tried Svers today, but no yarn. Guess you have to keep going and just hit it lucky.

San Jose Savers is at the corner of Bascom and Stevens Creek. (reason you didn't find any yarn at Milpitas Savers is because i cleaned them out last Friday! They keep it in the back by the bedding. This time i even got some very thick goldenrod rug yarn with a knitting project started and one needle still attached. Wonder what i'll do with that since i don't knit)
